Here I am sitting in my favorite spot, which is wherever there's nature! I love the beaches, yet look out with sadness each time I come. I've lived on 4 continents in my life and have yet to find one sandy shore without a negative human imprint. Nature always wins in the end however. We can work with Her and bask in Her bounty and beauty, or work against Her, and slowly perish. The choice has become quite clear. Vanessa means butterfly, and like the caterpillar spinning its cacoon, may the highest aspirations of these books take flight to make clear the contributions and possibilities of your own lives. Here's to our beautiful planet.
Jeff says, "There are two kinds of writers: Those who write 'cause they love words, and those who write because they love ideas." Defying his own dichotomy, Jeff loves to write words about ideas. Word and idea, form and function, percept and concept, text and context, all blend each into the other at the frontier. A thing well-said, an idea well-expressed, is an evocatively creative act, capturing in time and space some previously ineffable aspect of reality, giving pulse to the wrist of a living, breathing body of work, suffusing it with the life-blood making all growth and development possible...

Hi,
I'm the gul (cross between "guy and gal") who stitches it all together. Me and my IT buddy (another 'gul') make it possible for Jeff and Vanessa to put things on the Internet. While they get to do the fun stuff (writing, picturing etc.), I work behind the scenes writing html, javascript, and CSS using a text editor. So in a way I'm a writer too! Only difference is, I write stuff your computer understands and you probably don't. I tell your browser how to format them fine words flowing from Jeff and Vanessa in a way that looks half-way decent and makes sense to you. I also keep the website organized and up-to-date. Finally, if there are problems, I do what I can to track down the causes and fix them.
No glamour in any of this, and truth betold, I don't think Jeff and Vanessa think there's much glamour in what they do either. We're all on the same team, trying to do our little part to make a better world...
